This is a fairly easy climb to Latterbarrow Hill in the Lake District. To make an attractive round walk from Hawkshead the route begins along what years ago was a public road from Hawkshead to a ferry crossing of Windermere at Belle Grange. ‘With the inclusion of Wray Castle and the Lake Windermere shore walk, this walk has just about everything.’ 4.5 miles.
